Data curation and preservation are essential in keeping digital materials dependable, usable, reliable and accessible over time. Despite their importance, many organisations faces systematic challenges to sustain these practices. The main challenges are money hidden costs, lack of qualified professionals and insufficient staffing. These issues have significant impact on organisation’s capacity to run successful and long lasting digital preservation. Inadequate personnel is a major preservation challenge.
